After years of dreaming, plans, permits, building and breaking in 2009 the time had finally come: the new hall of the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Toneelgroep Amsterdam and Melkweg opened, and the renovation of the front end of the theatre was ready. The New hall, the Rabo hall, was certainly no small one: it has a capacity of over 500 seats. The adjacent New Foyer hovers over Lijnbaansgracht, which makes for a spectacular view of the water. “Amsterdam is just gotten a little greater”, says the Volkskrant. With the new bar and the revamped program, the dust is gone and the theatre has become a bustling place.

Bergen aan Zee is not so touristic as Egmond aan Zee, but there’s also not so much to do.. The beach and the village are on a 2-3 km distance.
This is the most touristic beach in Alkmaar and surroundings. Egmond aan Zee is very nice to go to when you have children.
Enkhuizen harbour is the center of this city. Yhis is not a city because of it’s so big, but becaise of tradition. The center is over 400 years old. You’ll see some traditional old houses, shops, etc.
Zoo with special care of old and sick animals, like lions and tigers. The animal park is opened seven days a week – from April 1st until October 31st from 9 am until 6 pm, and from November 1st until May 31st from 9 pm until 5 pm. The Stedelijk Museum was founded in 1874 by a group of private citizens in Amsterdam, led by C.P. van Eeghen, who donated funds and their art collections to establish a museum in the capital of the Netherlands that would be devoted to modern art. Twisk is a small village with the highest percent of monuments in the Netherland. The whole village is protected as well. It is a very nice place for a walk. The village has one main street you can walk up and down. This is about 4km.
This beach is not so very touristic, but very good for windsurfing, kitesurfing and wakeboarding.
Zandvoort is a touristic beach close to Amsterdam and Haarlem. Big variety of bars and restaurants. Zandvoort has no boulevard, but the village is close to the beach. Can be difficult with parking.

Hoorn city information
Hoorn is a small city, 45 km from Amsterdam, is located at the lake Markermeer. Hoorn has about 70.000 citizens. The center offers a lot of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. The harbour is the most beautiful part of Hoorn. If you go to the center you can park yourcar of only 2,60 euro a day at the Transferium parking, close to the trainstation. It´s only a short walk to the center. Other parking costs 1,70-2,80 euro euro per hour.
